This is a linear valveless Pulse to Ram jet engine, this design creates less back pressure in the engine producing more of it’s over all thrust from the exhaust nozzle than a normal U-shaped pulse jet design, U-shaped designs fail at high speeds. This design may allow for the engine to switch from a pulse jet to a ramjet as it gets up to speed. This is the first test with a 145 psi. electric fuel pump designed for a 500hp supercharged V-8. A flame holder was installed just inside of the combustion chamber to aid in retaining an ignition source for combustion at high speeds. Built just to test whether the engine would function as both a pulse jet and as a ramjet if the flame holder was installed inside the combustion chamber.
